UPS just unveiled 35 sleek new lightweight electric trucks made in collaboration with auto manufacturer Arrival. Capable of traveling 150 miles on a single charge, this zero-emission delivery truck will first be tested in Paris and London. Built with a ‘highly advanced vehicle display,’ UPS said the first vehicles are expected to be deployed before the end of 2018. UPS has been working with Arrival since 2016 on developing a variety of prototypes. UPS currently has over 700 hybrid electric vehicles and 300 electric vehicles on the road in Europe and the US. In recent years, the company has invested around $750 million into alternative fuel vehicles and recently ordered 125 Tesla-made semi-trucks. Stay tuned for developments!
