Apple‘s move into original television content is in full swing, according to reports. Apple‘s video division already has 12 projects in the works, with a 2019 launch date for summer. The lineup is set to include Steven Spielberg‘s anthology, a psychological thriller series from M. Night Shyamalan, Amazing Stories from La La Land director Damien Chazelle, and more. Thanks to a $1 billion USD budget, Apple has been able to outbid Netflix on rights to shows and will directly take on Hulu and Amazon Video. Apple currently has a 40-person team working on Apple Worldwide Video where it creates original content. Additionally, the company is building a 128,000-square foot headquarters for its entertainment division in California. Stay tuned for updates!
