YOUTUBE TV LAUNCHES IN LIMITED MARKETS

According to reports, YouTube has launched its live television service in limited markets across the US. YouTube TV is now available New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Philadelphia. The radical shift in the company’s business approach is the culmination of several years of work at YouTube. For $35 per month, YouTube TV subscribers will have access to live television programming from more than 50 networks including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox and ESPN. AMC Networks, including AMC, BBC America, IFC and Sundance TV will also join the service. Additionally, YouTube TV also comes with unlimited cloud DVR that can store shows for up to nine months. To entice new subscribers, YouTube is offering a free trial for 30 days. Expect to see YouTube TV available in more markets in the coming months.
